In relation to the activities of the National Biodiversity Future Center (NBFC), the University of Milano-Bicocca and the Marine Research and High Education (MaRHE) Center are organizing an international workshop entitled "The Human Dimension of Biodiversity: A Visual Approach". The workshop will be held at the MaRHE Center (Magoodhoo Island, Faafu Atoll, Maldives) from February 3rd to 11th, 2025 and will be dedicated to the study of the human dimension of biodiversity in insular contexts, with a specific focus on the Maldivian archipelago and Magoodhoo Island, and on the use of visual approaches and research methods. The workshop, led by the MaRHE Center interdisciplinary team, will consist of theoretical lectures, field activities, and educational excursions and is primarily, but not exclusively, aimed at master's and doctoral students, NGO members, public officials, and biodiversity experts.
