Edizioni FrancoAngeli
This volume is the ideal follow-up to Educating for Biodiversity: Approaches, Research and Proposals, which was published in 2024 (edited by Persico, Guerra, Galimberti). The former text established the basis for educational work on biodiversity, firmly grounded in evidence from an analysis of existing literature on the subject within the field of pedagogy, as well as the knowledge of ecological and outdoor educational practices. This volume, also edited by Luini, Persico, Galimberti and Guerra, the BEAT Biodiversity Education and Awareness Team established within the NBFC, builds upon these foundations to present a comprehensive methodological approach.
The volume aims to present the framework within which this unprecedented approach to education for and about biodiversity is inscribed, exploring its methodological aspects in depth. The volume's structure and its contributions reflect the distinctly interdisciplinary nature of the NBFC experience: contributions from educators alternate with those from natural scientists such as biologists, zoologists and botanists. Focusing on potential topics of interest or useful categories for guiding perspectives, the contributions propose theoretical frameworks to explore the theme of biodiversity pedagogically, providing insights into the animal and plant world and useful methodological aspects for setting up educational scenarios.
