The Biodiversity Forum represents the most significant scientific exchange on national biodiversity, promoted by the National Biodiversity Future Center (NBFC). This event takes place within the Biodiversity Week, which this year will be hosted in Milan from May 19 to 22, 2025, featuring various activities that will bring together researchers, businesses, finance, and territorial representatives. These activities will be interconnected, ensuring NBFC's presence in each event and discussion moment.

At the close of registration, over 750 participants have signed up, and 330 contributions (including posters and oral presentations) have been submitted.

This year's theme revolves around the value generated by scientific findings related to biodiversity and the innovation processes developed within NBFC and/or in collaboration with the center. The Forum aims to highlight NBFC's impact in terms of knowledge, tools, training, and innovation in biodiversity. Based on these findings, we seek to identify the most effective tools to generate and measure created value and define strategies for NBFC’s future, ensuring support for the country through specific action plans.

Focusing on NBFC's most valuable results—joint scientific publications, reports, and Key Exploitable Results (KERs)—the Forum will activate discussions, networking, and participatory exchanges to promote measurable impacts on monitoring, conservation, and biodiversity restoration. The Forum will also serve as a platform to present the Gateway, a concrete and tangible outcome for knowledge-sharing, technology transfer, and dissemination of biodiversity research developed at NBFC.
